Nestled atop one of the tallest sand dunes in Wadi Al Abiyad, Dunes by Al Nahda is an intimate luxury boutique desert resort offering unrivaled views over the desert and mountains beyond.

The 30 luxury tents feature traditional Arabian opulence in the decor and are separated to give you a feeling of exclusivity and privacy during your stay. Take on the adventure of quad biking through the dunes before relaxing with a unique ancient Hot Sand therapy at the URU Spa.

Conveniently located under an hours drive from Muscat and the gateway to Al Jabal Al Akhdar, Dunes by Al Nahda is ideal to incorporate into part of a tour or even to break up a beach stay with a truly unique experience.

Dunes by Al Nahda Spa Resort is proud to feature the hot sand therapy, Sand Spa – an ancient Egyptian, one of its kind wellness treatments available exclusively at our desert camp! This unique treatment combines the beneficial effect of the heat from the sand with those minerals naturally found in it, allowing the body’s pores to absorb it without undergoing uncomfortable temperature changes. Using our sunken hot sand tubs, you will be covered in sanitized sand up to your neck. Once this is done, we will gently wrap your head in soft fabric to help protect it from the particles and cover your eyes with chilled fruit wedges, applying a liquid aloe vera mask to your face. A mix of milk, wine and oils are then softly poured over the body area so these may filter down, your pores absorbing all the healing properties from the mix as well as from the naturally occurring minerals in the sand. We are also pleased to offer 5 additional, varied treatments to make the most of your spa experience whilst enjoying your stay at Dunes by Al Nahda.

What better way to pass an evening as the desert dust settles than volleyball like you never would have experienced before. Whether it is 2 of you or 20, the on site court is a sure way to entertain everyone.

Suite Tents

The luxury 2 Tent Suites feature a common entry foyer leading into two separate Luxury Tents, each with its own private entrance, flat screen TV, individually controlled air-conditioning and full en suite bathrooms.

The suite’s measure a total of 85 metres square of floor space and are ideal for families or friends travelling together looking for privacy in the quiet moments of their stay – or for those looking for the comfort of space! All Suite Tents also feature a private patio area where you may enjoy the cool night air and spectacular views.

Royal Tents

The Royal Tents each measure an impressive 138 square metres of total floor space. A large foyer greets you upon entering, leading you either into the lavishly appointed living room or into one of the two bedrooms (one features a king size bed, the other 2 twin beds) – each of the three tents feature flat screen TV’s, fully equipped bathrooms, individually controlled air-conditioning and those daily, deluxe comforts that make your stay royal!

As with the rest of tents, our Royal Tents are free standing accommodation, including a private patio, and area ideal for families or friends looking for shared moments as well as privacy in quiet moments. They are also ideal for anyone looking for space wherein to stretch out and enjoy.

Dune Bar, within Fleur Restaurant, with its varied seating options provides something for everyone, from International cocktails with a local twist to a relaxing pre-dinner, sunset drink without having to move from the Resort. Its relaxed atmosphere gives you the opportunity to unwind, catch up whilst taking in the surroundings and natural beauty of Wadi Al Abiyad.
