Held on the day of the dragon of the first lunar month, the unique Roong Pooc Festival is a unique cultural event traditionally celebrated by the Giay people. The festival is dedicated to the Jade Emperor, as well as fairies and various deities. The people use this time to pray for their blessing for prosperity, peace and fine weather throughout the year.
