With an abundance of idyllic beaches, a lively bar scene and opulent hotels, your Nha Trang holidays offer you laid-back luxury as you explore Vietnam’s coastline.
The resort feel of the city gives Nha Trang a distinctly modern edge, but its history can be seen all around. From the impressive tower of the Po Nagar Temple to the stunning Gothic architecture of Nha Trang Cathedral, there is plenty for you to discover in Nha Trang.
After a day of sightseeing, Nha Trang’s plethora of beach bars and cafes are the perfect spot if you wish to cool off and unwind.
Unspoiled beaches and exhilarating watersports are the hallmarks of Nha Trang holidays
Sitting on the southern coast, Nha Trang has carved a reputation as one of the Vietnam’s prettiest seaside towns. Nha Trang sits on a stretch of unspoiled beaches, where sparkling blue waters lap at golden sands and locals and visitors alike take to the ocean to practise watersports. Here, you can try your hand at a range of sports, including windsurfing, water skiing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding and even parasailing, making it your perfect thrill-seeking location. The islands dotted around Nha Trang lend themselves perfectly to snorkelling, with the shallow waters that surround them making an ideal starting point if you’re a beginner to the sport. If you’re a more experienced diver or wanting to learn you can take a PADI course, which usually can be completed in three or four days.
Nha Trang holidays aren’t all sun, sea and surf. The city has plenty of fascinating architecture and historical remains for you to explore. Nha Trang Cathedral is a fine example of French Gothic style architecture. Built in the early 19th century, the cathedral boasts beautiful features including exquisite stained glass windows, a square clock tower and three cathedral bells that still chime today. The 53 step climb up to the church is well worth it, not only for the church itself but for the lovely panoramic view it offers of Nha Trang. In contrast to the colonial influence of the cathedral, the preserved remnants of the atmospheric Po Nagar Cham Towers offer a fascinating insight into the ancient kingdom of Champa and Vietnamese history.

“The Sailing Club is the place to go to see international music acts where DJs play right on the beachfront. To keep the party going until the small hours, head to one of the city’s many rooftop bars, which also have great views.”

“Float past local fishing villages along the water for the best chance to see local craftsmen at work and interact with the locals.”
Events & Festivals
Festivals and events are wonderful to include during your Nha Trang holiday, offering a glimpse into the country’s authentic culture and traditions.
Nha Trang Sea Festival
Celebrating the natural beauty of the region, the Nha Trang Sea Festival takes place every two years during the month of June and lasts for around a week. This colourful and charming festival includes a seafood and international gastronomy competition, a wine festival and beach volleyball competition. It has even been known to be the backdrop to an underwater group wedding. If you’re visiting the festival you can learn more about Vietnamese culture at the Truon Sa picture exhibition, the Khmer Cultural Exhibition, and the kite -flying festival. For a fun finish to the festivities, be sure to take part in a game of human chess.
Local Cuisine
Get a flavour of the local culture through your palate during your Nha Trang holiday. Here’s one of our favourite dishes.
Nem nuong
Found in restaurants throughout Nha Trang, nem nuong is fermented pork that is grilled over coal and mixed with lettuce leaves, fresh herbs, chillies, garlic and vermicelli rice noodles in a rice paper roll. This tasty snack is usually served with a sweet and spicy fish sauce, raw herbs and pickled green papaya for a punchy kick.
