Pike Place Market
Join a Savour Seattle food tour or venture round for yourself; whichever way you choose, visiting Pike Place Market has to be at the top of things to do in Seattle. The bustling crafts market and calls of the fish throwers really make the atmosphere at this year-round farmers market. Our favourites include cinnamon sugared doughnuts from the Daily Dozen and grilled cheese sandwiches from Beecher's cheese.

A family day out
No matter what age, there are great things to do for the whole family in Seattle. Museums specialising in everything from airplanes and computers to pop culture and an interactive experiences. Visit the Seattle Aquarium, Woodland Park Zoo or the Pacific Science Center; and as well as all these, the great outdoors gives you lots of free days out too that will keep everyone entertained.

Three stunning national parks
Olympic, Mount Rainier and Cascade National Parks are all roughly 2 hours drive from Seattle, which means you can easily make a day of it. Hike through alpine meadows in summer or embark on a snowshoe excursion in winter, these national parks are wild and remote. Visit coastal beaches and lush rainforests on a contained peninsula across the water from Seattle in Olympic National Park, see wildlife and alpine lakes in North Cascades National Park and a 14,410 foot active volcano in Mount Rainier National Park.

Winter - it's snow business
Stevens Pass, Crystal Mountain Resort and the Summit at Snoqualmie - there is winter fun to be had for the whole family, whether you want to ski or snowboard, ride the Mount Rainier Gondola 2000 feet up or tube down a 550 foot long hill. Stevens Pass also offers the added bonus of night skiing, so you can hit the powder under the stars.

Chihuly Garden and Glass
An incredible exhibit that is well worth the visit. Chihuly Garden and Glass is a museum in the Seattle Center showcasing the colouful artworks and creations of Dale Chihuly. Walk through the 40-foot tall Glasshouse, eight galleries and the gardens where you will see four monumental sculptures.

Seattle Space Needle
A landmark of the Pacific Northwest and icon of Seattle, a visit to the Space Needle is a must whilst staying in this laid-back city. Head up to the observation deck, 520 feet above the ground and view the city from above. You will also be able to see the outline of the Cascades and Mt. Rainier in the distance.

Bumbershoot – August
Held annually in August, Bumbershoot is a much loved music, comedy and arts festival that takes place at the Seattle Center. The festival happens over Labor Day Weekend and is one of north America’s most popular events.
