Santa Monica Holidays

Cool, coastal and captivating, Santa Monica is the perfect beach stay and add-on to your glamorous Los Angeles trip.

Boasting a hometown vibe, you’ll find vibrant galleries, museums, theatres and restaurants here, as well as the famous and original, Muscle Beach that’s made for gym bunnies. Shopping in Santa Monica rivals nearby Beverly Hills and even Manhattan due to its variety of offerings; from one-of-a-kind artwork and boutiques along main street to iconic skater labels and straight off the runway styles, there is something for everyone. Third Street Promenade has an upbeat scene with local musicians and entertainers, hosting name brand clothing, while Santa Monica Place offers dozens of specialty stores, ArcLight Cinema and a rooftop dining deck with gorgeous ocean views.

Santa Monica is family friendly and for some fresh-air fun, ride the Ferris wheel on Santa Monica pier and enjoy the wide expanse of Santa Monica beach. Hire bikes and cycle the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, known also as The Strand, that journeys along 22-miles through Venice, Hermosa and Redondo beach and for those looking for a tasty treat, you can also join a Sweets Bike Tour and during your bicycle ride, you will stop off at cafes, bakeries and ice cream stores around Santa Monica - delicious.

Visit the end of Route 66 on Santa Monica Pier, head to the Farmer’s Market to feast on local produce or sit back and watch acrobatic performances on rings, bars and even a trapeze - you can also give it a go yourself if you are feeling energetic. If you’re planning a trip to Los Angeles, this is the ideal place to base yourself. Combine your Santa Monica trip with a stay in Palm Springs, or head to San Francisco for even more sightseeing and exploring.
