Koh Yao Holidays
Koh Yao holidays ooze life in paradise. Koh Yao comprises a pair of peacefully secluded islands exactly half way between Phuket and Krabi. Take pleasure in the peace and tranquillity as you travel through this unspoiled haven. Koh Yao is the perfect place if you’re looking for respite in an island paradise and to disconnect from the world for a short while.
The simplicity of holidays in Koh Yao is marked by sights of wooden houses along the roads, vast rubber plantations and mangroves in the middle of the sea. Time slows down in this laid back setting, where you can simply relax, unwind and enjoy a traditional spa treatment.
If you prefer to explore, discover the mountains and rainforests in the centre of Koh Yao Noi. Admire the beautiful landscapes by foot, or rent a kayak and paddle along the Mangrove Forest. The area’s home to shrimps, crabs, snails and fish, perfect for keen fishers.
Koh Yao Yai holidays: a spot of heaven on earth
Koh Yao Yai boasts a unique island experience, where you’re bound to find yourself undisturbed on one of the secluded beaches with cotton-soft sand. Cruise around the island on a scooter, as you follow dirt roads that lead to hidden paradise beaches such as Loh Paret and Loh Jark. Finish the day observing perfect, uninterrupted views of the sunset at White Sand Beach on the west coast.
Adventurers should hop on a longtail boat to sister island, Koh Yao Noi, where you can feast your eyes on water buffaloes bathing in mud puddles. This island is brimming with rubber plantations and rice paddies. Discover the gem of Holy Spring where fresh water pours into the sea.
Koh Yao offers idyllic spots for diving and snorkelling in the Andaman sea. Explore the coral and dive sites of King Cruiser Wreck near Anemone Reef and the Pinnacles of Shark Point. This provides the unforgettable experience of swimming with leopard sharks, as well as other underwater species, including the beautiful clown fish.
For multicentre holidays in Koh Yao, hop from one island to the next and explore some of the other majestic islands of the Andaman sea. Visit Phuket, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Hong. Alternatively, take a day trip to Phang Nga National Park where you’ll find spectacular scenery, including limestone cliffs where you can discover hidden caves, secluded beaches and lagoons.

“These islands are not the place to go if you want busy nightlife. You can find the odd place for a refreshing beer or a simple meal, but most of the time it’s early to bed and early to rise.”
