Baja California Holidays

Picturesque coastlines and superior treatment

Baja California Sur maybe one of Mexico's lesser known regions compared to some of it's more famous counterparts. However, this stunning region of Mexico is packed with adventure, stunning scenery, luxury hotels and wildlife just waiting for you to explore. It is a paradise for sport lovers either on land or at sea, the climate allows sport enthusiasts such as surfers and golfers a year-round destination to do what they love. The crystal blue waters are home to an abundance of wildlife - grab your camera and head on many whale watching excursions, or spectate the packs of sealions swimming in these waters.

As there aren't any direct flights to this region - it is the perfect opportunity to see another destination along to the way. Enjoy gastronomic delights in Mexico City and appreciate the fusion of the old and new, or stop off in the glamourous Los Angeles for a spot of shopping and exploring 'Tinseltown' before heading to the golden sands of the Baja California Sur region.

Los Cabos

With high end resorts, bars and restaurants, Los Cabos offers unlimited luxury and is the perfect upscale resort for those looking for something special. A trip to Los Cabos is all about getting out and exploring; it retains an authentic and charming Mexican feel along with blissfully peaceful beaches and traditional culture. Los Cabos is made up of two distinct regions; San Jose del Cabo offers a tranquil setting whereas Cabo San Lucas is lively and perfect for those who venture out after the sun goes down. For nature lovers, you can see various species of whale migrating through the Sea of Cortez with some tours guaranteeing sightings of up to six species. A Los Cabos holiday would not be complete without a visit to 'El Arco', this stunning rock formation is part of the jagged coastline across this region which is postcard perfect.

Top Tips from our Experts

Martyn

“Los Cabos is a tale of two halves, if you like a lively resort feel, head to Cabo San Lucas. Or, San Jose del Cabo has an artsy and more authentic vibe".

Jas

“Baja California is a haven for blue, humpback and grey whales, and spotting them is really easy. The grey whales are so curious, it’s like they are human watching".

Valerie

Destination Specialist

“Head to Van Halen’s Cabo Wabo Cantina. Still owned and run by Sammy Hagar, try a cocktail or two, my favourite is the Wabojito".
