A true desert oasis
Embark on a true Arabian adventure and travel through time as you visit the sites of Jordan, one of the world’s oldest civilisations. There’s truly nowhere on Earth quite like it, it has the ability to invoke a passion in everyone who visits. When you leave Jordan, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t visit sooner.
We love Jordan because of the variety of what you can do there. It offers some of the best preserved Roman architecture in the world – stunning UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the lowest point on the surface of the Earth, and idyllic beaches for a rejuvenating rest.
The top of almost every itinerary is the Rose City of Petra. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its rose and orange cliffs and its iconic architecture carved directly into the rock face. Dating back to about 300BC, Petra was originally an important stop on the trading routes of the Middle East. Today it stands as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and inspires a feeling of awe in everyone that visits.
Jordan also houses the Dead Sea, the shores of which are the lowest point on the surface of the earth, sitting at 423 metres below sea level. The Dead Sea itself is the deepest hypersaline lake in the world. The salt content sits at 40%, compare that with the average 4-6% of other seas and oceans and it means that you can effortlessly float in the water.
Further south is the beautiful coastal city of Aqaba. The southernmost point of Jordan sits on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba. A gateway to the Indian Ocean, the warm waters and golden beaches are the perfect way to relax and complement any packed itinerary.
Why not also explore other wonderful attractions such as Jerash, Wadi Rum, Mount Nebo and Mujib National Reserve? Our Destination Specialists are on hand to piece together your ideal itinerary.

Top Tips from our Experts

“I love Jordanian cuisine because of variety within it. It has so much influence from its neighbouring countries so it is a great fusion of flavours. While you are in Amman be sure to visit Sufra Restaurant in the heart of Rainbow Street. The service is amazing and the food is even better.”

James
Destination Executive
“Jordanian hospitality is second to none, they really are the friendliest people in the world. While you are out exploring, pop in to a local coffee shop. The Arabian coffee is completely different to home and the staff welcome you as if it’s their own home.”

Valerie
Destination Specialist
“Because the flight times to Jordan can sometimes get you into Amman late at night, I would definitely recommend a pre-tour night in the city. Not only will this give you a chance to get over any jetlag, but it also gives you a head start to explore the city.”
