January: Phuket, Thailand
Start the year off in style with bright blue skies and balmy temperatures in Phuket, Thailand. January is one of the best times to visit Phuket (and escape winter) as it’s one of the driest months and the average temperature is 27⁰C. Plus, good visibility and warm water make it a good time to go snorkelling and diving at nearby islands.
February: Costa Rica
Costa Rica in February makes it onto our list of top destinations by month and with good reason. February is the middle of the dry season in Costa Rica’s Central Valley and Pacific beaches, so there’s plenty of warm weather and sunny days. Overnight rainfall is the perfect soundtrack to fall asleep to in this tropical paradise.
March: Sri Lanka
For a small island, Sri Lanka has pretty varied climates. March is one of the best times to lounge on Sri Lanka’s stunning west and south coasts. While the hill country around Kandy and Ella’s tea fields are best explored between December to March as the monsoon season gives way to warmer temperatures.
April: Southeast US: Charlotte, Savannah
Hop across the pond and pay a visit to southeastern USA in April to enjoy blooming flowers, annual spring festivals and charming cities. A city break in Charlotte, North Carolina gives you the chance to sip craft beer in the sun, explore fantastic museums, catch a game of baseball and enjoy colourful public parks. Take a horse-drawn carriage through Savannah, Georgia, a romantic riverside town known for its cobblestone squares, manicured gardens and impressive southern architecture.
May: Kyoto, Japan
Late May in Kyoto, Japan‘s cultural capital, is the best time to visit to avoid the crowds while still enjoying great weather. The warm weather also shows off the best side of the city, with blooming cherry blossoms, riverside activities, outdoor dining and exciting spring festivals.
June: Fiji
Get a head start on summer in Fiji. June is considered shoulder season in eternally sunny Fiji, so you’ll get great deals on flights and hotels. Marvel at the beauty of the palm-fringed beaches and clear lagoons, with balmy temperatures hovering between 21°C- 27°C.
July: Bali
If you’re looking for a summer escape away from Europe’s crowded beaches in summer, head to Indonesia. Bali is buzzing in July when the weather is driest and the days are warm. For a change of pace, nearby Ubud is a great place to unwind among the rice paddies and lush jungle.
August: Kenya and Tanzania
The Great Migration, one of the great natural wonders in the world, takes place between July- early October in Kenya and Tanzania. Feel the thundering hooves as millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle make their way from the Serengeti plains to Kenya’s Masai Mara in search of food and water.
September: South Africa

October: Seychelles
Although it sees year-round sun, October is one of the best times for a holiday in Seychelles. With incredible underwater visibility in October, it’s a paradise for snorkelling and scuba diving.
