La Maison Arabe is a luxurious riad-hotel and an architectural gem in the heart of the medina of Marrakech. This elegant retreat provides a perfect blend of exotic, Moroccan charm and European comfort in a spectacular Moorish setting reflecting the legendary Moroccan hospitality.
Iconic for its rich history, La Maison Arabe was established in the early 1930’s by two French ladies, entrepreneurs of their time, who later decided to open the first Moroccan restaurant in the medina, in 1946. Supported by Pacha Thami El Glaoui, the governor of Marrakech at that time, the restaurant’s guests included many dignitaries, including Sir Winston Churchill and Queen Ingrid of Denmark, who stayed at La Mamounia and would visit La Maison Arabe for dinner.
Choose from French, Asian and Moroccan cuisines, and enjoy after dinner drinks accompanied by live music. Take a complimentary shuttle to the hotel’s nearby Country Club for swimming, golf and a delightful restaurant. Alternatively, recreate your own local dishes at La Maison Arabe’s cooking school adjoined to the hotel.

La Maison Arabe offers 2 swimming pools, one heated in the Medina, amongst olive groves and solarium’s, the other in the gardens of the Country Club, just a 15 minute shuttle drive away.
The Spa
A brand new wellness area offerering 2 hammams and 5 massage rooms. Relax as you choose from a menu of traditional treatments and massages based on natural products specially designed for La Maison Arabe.
Kitchen Workshops
Those who wish to learn the secrets of recipes that have contributed to creating the reputation of La Maison Arabe’s cuisine, to the point of it becoming one of the most famous restaurants on the African continent, can join a cooking workshop led by a Dada, a traditional Moroccan chef. In small groups (10 people maximum), learn to prepare and cook traditional dishes, with the chance to taste at the end.
The Country Club
Just 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the medina, La Maison Arabe offers its guests an exclusive experience amongst a peaceful oasis in a private and luxuriant Mediterranean garden setting. Relax at the large outdoor pool and enjoy lunch at the restaurant ‘Le Figuier’.

The Three Flavours
An intimate atmosphere, decorated with walls covered with grey striped tadelakt and red ceilings, the Three Flavours restaurant presents a menu prepared by three chefs. Dine indoors, on the terrace, or in the garden beside the swimming pool as you indulge in French, Moroccan and Asian recipes.
