Tanzania is one of the best countries in the world to experience a safari.

Whether you are going on your first or fifth safari, looking for that first sighting of the iconic Big Five or searching for the rare African wild dog, Tanzania will offer you something different and exciting to see as you cross the famous plains of the Serengeti or less explored areas such as the Selous National Park.

Often before starting your safari you will require a night in Arusha due to the flights not arriving in time for the start of your safari and there is nowhere better to spend your first night in Tanzania than the Arusha Coffee Lodge, or perhaps you want a night or two to relax afterwards before flying home or on to the stunning beaches of Zanzibar. Located in northern Tanzania, set on the outskirts of Arusha town and within the rolling hills of a coffee plantation is peaceful Arusha Coffee Lodge, this welcoming lodge has just 30 cozy rooms.

The lodge offers several activities including a ‘bean-to-cup’ tour of the plantation which shows you every stage of coffee production as well as a visit to Arusha National park or a day trip to the Ngorongoro National Park, while Kilimanjaro is just a couple of hours away.

There are many facilities that you can use at the Coffee lodge. These can all be at the lodge’s reception.

The ‘Bean-to-Cup’ Coffee plantation tour
Learn how coffee is produced in the region, taking in all stages from the bean to your cup. The tour lasts 60-90 minutes depending on group size.

Visit to the Ngorongoro
If you are not visiting the cater on your safari then we recommend that you do a day visit to it.T he Ngorongoro Crater is a huge volcanic crater form 2-3 million years ago, it is 610m deep and covers an area of 260km2. It is not only a wonderful natural phenomenon but is now home to thousands of animals.

Visit to Arusha National Park
This is the closet national park to Arusha, here you will have the chance to see many wild animals on game drives.

There are two room types at the Coffee lodge with 30 rooms in total.

There are 18 Plantation rooms, these are designed to offer comfort and warmth before your safari. The rooms offer log fire, en suite bathroom with shower and bath, and a veranda looking out to the coffee fields.
