Hua Hin Holidays
Offering a heady cocktail of sea and sun, Hua Hin is Thailand’s original beach resort, with miles of soft sandy shore and chic resorts. Hua Hin holidays are bound to find an activity just for you - whether you’re a keen golfer, a sun worshipper or a culture lover, there’s plenty in this district.
This secluded corner of Thailand’s gulf coast has long been the choice of the Thai royal family for holidays during the warmer months, because you can drive from the heart of Bangkok to Hua Hin in just a few hours.
If you wish to take day trips from Hua Hin then you can indulge in the wide variety of sophisticated attractions and activities nearby.
Find your sense of adventure on Hua Hin holidays
Alongside the many Hua Hin beaches such as Khao Takiab, where swimming and sunbathing are the order of the day, the local town itself is fun to explore. There are lively markets where you can taste delicious street food and browse local art galleries. Visit the opulent royal summer palace of Klai Kangwon and Hua Hin Railway Station with its intricate wooden architecture.
The region boasts some of the best championship golf courses in Asia, so plan to tee off at the Royal Hua Hin golf course, or follow a round of golf with dinner at the Black Mountain Golf Club. Horse riding is also popular with guided trail rides available from quality stables, including riding on the beach, for all levels of rider.
You can head to Monsoon Valley Vineyard located a 45 minute drive away for a unique Thai wine tasting experience in gorgeous natural beauty. You could go on a guided tour, create your own wine label, go mountain biking or simply enjoy lunch or a glass of wine with a panoramic view. This is one of the first vineyards in Thailand and the breeze from the sea air and sandy soil that is enriched with shells and fossils offers a unique freshness to the wine.
If you’re bringing younger members of your family then you might wish to enjoy nearby water parks, such as Vana Nava Water Jungle.
Or for a more natural adventure, take a scenic drive out to the gorgeous natural Pala-U Waterfall, Kaeng Krachan National Park, located 37 miles from Hua Hin close to the neighbouring country of Myanmar. This makes for an amazing day trip as you go swimming in fish-filled pools, and the 1,000 year old forest which is home to rare birdlife and wildlife.
If you’re feeling fit, you can climb the 16 steep steps to witness views stretching from Thailand into Myanmar.
As well as a Bangkok to Hua Hin twin centre holiday, hop further down the Thai isthmus and visit one of the many beautiful islands such as Koh Samui or Koh Lanta.

Hua Hin has been regarded as one of the best golfing locations in Thailand for many years. There are 8 top quality courses all within a 30 minute drive of the town centre. There are others located slightly further afield, but are still reachable easily enough for a day's play. Probably the most famous one is Springfield Royal Country Club which has been the venue for many major championships, including The Thai Open.
