What to pack for Zanzibar?
Zanzibar’s weather is hot and humid throughout the year, so clothes made from breathable fabrics such as cotton, linen and bamboo work best. The island’s population is predominantly Muslim so dressing up in a way that is respectful to the culture is important. For sightseeing, we recommend clothes that cover the shoulders and knees. Also, pack a pair of sandals or lightweight walking shoes. A rain jacket is a must if travelling during the rainy months. Insect repellant will help keep those pesky mosquitos away.
For perfect beach days, pack a couple of swimsuits, sunscreen, sunglasses and a sunhat. Bring a cover-up or sarong to avoid unwanted attention while away from the water. For snorkelling and diving adventures, bring along swim shoes and snorkelling gear.
