Is it easy to walk around Toronto?

Toronto is easy to get around on foot, with lots of pedestrian crossings. Many of the main attractions centre around a small area and are well-connected by an efficient public transport system – choose from buses, streetcars and the subway. You can buy a daily or weekly ticket that allows you to use all forms of public transport as often as you need.

Is Toronto a French-speaking city?

Toronto is an English-speaking Canadian city. English is the mother tongue of 51% of the population, while French is just 1.3%. There are over 140 languages spoken in Toronto. The second most widely spoken language is Cantonese, at 4%, and Mandarin is also at 4%.

How cold does it get in Toronto?

January and February are the coldest months, with an average temperature of -3°C. If you’re visiting in winter be sure to wrap up warm and bring sturdy boots which provide good grip in the snow.

The average temperature rises in May and June, at 14-19°C, while July and August are the hottest with highs of 26°C. September and October remain temperate.
