From sleepy back roads to supercharged interstates; small, sleepy towns to big, brash cities, our USA road trips cover an impressive 47 of the USA’s 50 states. So, if you’re planning to channel Jack Kerouac and forge your own American adventure on the road, there’s just one question: where to start?
Route 66 is the name on everybody’s lips, and no list of classic USA road trips would be complete without it. Dubbed The Mother Road, this iconic highway was the artery to America’s beating heart in the 1950s. Today, it’s as famous as the creative spirits it’s inspired over the decades. Cruise Route 66 solo on a self drive holiday or as part a pack of growling Harley-Davidsons on a guided motorcycle tour.
With such a vast and varied landscape, there are hundreds of strings to America’s bow, and our Destination Specialists can talk you through them. Experience guidebook greats like the Grand Canyon and Death Valley, as well as the neon lights of Las Vegas on the Classic West tour. Or, follow the footsteps of Elvis and co on an unforgettable motorhome holiday into the Deep South.
