This full day private tour takes in the Badaling section of the Great Wall and includes a return cable car ride, entry to the Ming Tomb and the Sacred Way plus lunch at a local restaurant.
As one of the best preserved and highest sections of the Great Wall, Badaling offers visitors some truly spectacular views over the rugged mountain scenery.
Located approximately 30 miles north of Beijing at the foothills of the Tianshou Mountains, the Ming Tombs house the tombs of 13 of the 16 Ming Dynasty Emperors. You will have the opportunity to visit the tombs of Yongle – the first emperor to be buried here, and that of Emperor Zhu Yijun which are the only two tombs open to the public.
You will also have a chance to see the Sacred Way. Running about a kilometre the Sacred Way is flanked on both sides by carvings of human and animal figures, all of which have been carved from a single block of granite in 1435.
This excursion departs daily and is based on a minimum of 2 passengers.
