A protected area home to exotic marine life
Angthong National Marine Park is the second National Park created in Thailand and is composed of more than 40 islands with lush rainforests, white sandy beaches, limestone cliffs and off shore reefs. Most islands comprise limestone masses, reaching heights up to 450 metres and blanketed by four different types of forest such as Dry Evergreen, Beach, Limestone and Mangrove. There are many strange rock formations brought above land by erosion of the earth, along with lush white sandy beaches. Spend time snorkelling amid the shallow coral reefs. Only two of the islands Ko Wua Talap and Ko Paluayare inhabited.
After the snorkelling adventure walk up to see the beauty of the Emerald Lake and the surrounding spectacular views and have a buffet lunch on Woa Ta Lab island (Marine Park Headquater). After lunch, you can hike up to the top of Woa Ta Lab island or hike to Bua Bok cave or just relax on the beach.
