TABLE MOUNTAIN AERIAL CABLEWAY, CAPE TOWN
Ride the rotating cable car up Table Mountain, a five-minute ascent 
that reveals ever-shifting views of Cape Town, the Atlantic coastline, 
and the Twelve Apostles. At the summit, follow sandstone paths 
through the fynbos of Table Mountain National Park, an area of 
immense plant diversity, with many species found nowhere else 
on Earth. From the plateau’s edge, pick out Robben Island in Table 
Bay and the distinct outline of Lion’s Head, with Camps Bay’s white 
beaches and the deep blue ocean stretching below.

Stay for the sunset, when the sky over the Serra da Carioca ridge 
turns gold, and the jagged Dois Irmãos peaks are silhouetted against 
the fading light.
