Travel like James Bond

James Bond is everybody’s favourite spy and an extremely well-travelled one at that. To celebrate the latest Bond movie Spectre, released on 26 October, Hayes and Jarvis have created an interactive website that maps 007’s extensive travel history.  If you’re interested in licensed to thrill travel around the world – be honest, who isn’t – then check it out. Meanwhile, here’s a quick reminder of some of the more glamorous locations shown in the films.

Phang Nga Bay, Thailand – Man with the Golden Gun

Good for: Dangerous and diminutive villains (aka Nick-Nack) and speedboat chases.

Lazar: Mr. Bond, bullets do not kill. It is the finger that pulls the trigger.

James Bond: Exactly. I am now aiming precisely at your groin. So speak or forever hold your piece.

Bahamas – Casino Royale

Good for: Stepping off a seaplane in a dashing linen suit or stepping out from the sea with nothing on but teeny trunks and a rippling six pack.

M: Bond, I need you back.
Bond: I never left.

New Orleans – Live and Let Die

Good for: Jazzy funeral processions – try to ensure it’s not your own.

Good for: Mixing metaphors and mojitos with the Lesser Spotted Halle Berry.

Rio de Janeiro – Moonraker

Good for: Hanging off cable cars high above Sugarloaf Mountain with orally challenged ogres (Jaws).
