Meet upon arrival at Luang Prabang airport, the tour guide for your time in Laos will pick you up and take you to your hotel for check-in.

Start the day with a stroll through the morning market, a great way to see local life. Stop off for a visit to the impressive Vat Visoun and Vat Aham before climbing Vat Phousi hill for outstanding views over the city. In the afternoon you will visit the former Kings palace which is now the National Museum which has displays of personal artefacts from the Royal family. This is followed by a visit to Ock Pop Tock Weave Centre where you can explore the fascinating world of traditional Lao handicrafts.

Embark on a riverboat cruise on the Mekong River, from Luang Prabang upstream to the sacred Pak Ou Caves where you can marvel at the thousands of gold Buddha statues. Visit the enchanting village of Ban Xang Hai which is famous for the distillation of traditional rice alcohol. Return to the boat for lunch on board - this is a great photo opportunity as you are moored in front of the majestic Pha Enn Cliff. You will return to your hotel in Luang Prabang around 14:30pm - and the rest of the days is free for you to relax or perhaps take a stroll around the old town of Luang Prabang.

After breakfast take the 1-hour journey to the enchanting Kuang Si Waterfalls. Water tumbles over the multi-tiered limestone formations into cool, clear pools ideal for swimming and relaxing. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the waterfalls and enjoy some time to wander the area and explore. On the way back to Luang Prabang make a stop a Lao Buffalo Dairy Farm - the first Buffalo dairy to produce buffalo cheese and a range of dairy products and provide income and a sustainable future for the local Lao people. Once back in Luang Prabang this is a great opportunity to explore the night bazaar.

Breakfast is at the hotel and you have time at leisure until your pick up time for your transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi, and the rest of the day is at leisure. We suggest you venture out to West Lake to see how the locals spend their evening.

After an early breakfast, depart your hotel for Halong Bay. After boarding the boat you will start a relaxing overnight cruise passing bizarre rock formations. Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as 'dragon descending to the sea'. Itineraries vary depending on the boats programme, after lunch enjoy a guided excursion to Sung Sot Caves, floating village or swimming in the bay. Once the sun has set your boat will drop anchor for the night. A cooking demonstration may take place before dinner is served.

After dinner, you may choose to enjoy fresh air on the sundeck or play board games or retire to your cabin for a comfortable night in the bay after a long day.

Note: our tour guide will not accompany you on-board, however each boat has their own knowledgeable guides.

You are welcome to join in an early morning Tai Chi session on the sundeck while watching the sunrise in the bay or enjoy other activities (depending on your boat's programme). Enjoy breakfast on board before disembarking the boat and heading back towards Hanoi, enjoy an orientation tour visiting the Old Quarter which is known as the cities historical centre. You have the choice to stay in Hanoi for another night or experience the Vietnam rail tracks overnight a board the SE3 Reunification Express from Hanoi to Hue. The overnight train is based in a private four-berth compartment (two upper and two lower berths) with air-conditioning and shared restrooms.

For those taking the train, dinner will be enjoyed at a restaurant before transferring to Hanoi railway station.

Notes when taking the overnight train from Hanoi to Hue:

Tour guide will not accompany those taking the overnight train option.

Train schedule is subject to change (ETD: 22:00pm).

Spend the morning at leisure before checking out of your hotel and transferring to the airport for your flight to Hue or those that have taken the overnight train option you will arrive in Hue around 10.35am and be picked up to join the rest of the group for lunch before continuing with a half day tour of Hue. You will visit the Imperial Citadel, this royal complex has been officially recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.Continue by road to visit Thien Mu Pagoda or Heavenly Lady pagoda an active Buddhist monastery originating from 1601 and afterwards take a scenic boat trip on the Perfume River to the city pier.

In the morning, visit Tu Duc Royal Tomb, construction of the tomb was meticulously carried out starting whilst the king was still alive in order to ensure his comfort in the next life. Your journey continues southbound to Da Nang over the famous Hai Van Pass with a green view of the stretch of Truong Son mountain range on one side and a spectacular sea view on the other followed by lunch in a local restaurant. This afternoon visit Cham Museum and en route take a photo stop at Marble Mountains before driving the short distance south past the famous Non Nuoc Beach onto the enchanting town of Hoi An listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Upon arrival in Hoi An, check in the hotel and rest of the day will be at leisure.

In the morning, your guide will take you on a stroll through the exceptionally well preserved ancient town of Hoi An, most of the buildings still have their original wooden frames including historical monuments and the fusion of indigenous and foreign cultures. Hoi An Silk Village is just one kilometre away from the centre of Hoi An ancient town this is your next stop and where you will enjoy lunch. Drive to Danang airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, today's Ho Chi Minh City is the bustling and vibrating economic centre of the South. Check in your hotel and have free time in the evening to explore the city.

Drive to Cu Chi district this morning to visit the amazing complex of underground tunnels at Cu Chi. There are more than 200 km of tunnels, comprising a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. You have the chance to crawl through this amazing system of tunnels before returning to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch. Your afternoon walking tour will take you past some magnificent sights from the French colonial period such as the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral and the old Post Office. Spend some time shopping for souvenirs at the famous Ben Thanh Market before indulging in a well-earned foot massage. The evening is at leisure or an optional dinner cruise on the Saigon River is available charged locally.

Spend the morning at leisure, later transfer to Ho Chi Minh City airport for your flight to Phnom Penh. On arrival transfer to your hotel. After lunch visit the Independence Monument and the National Museum. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art from throughout the ages. Take in the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. End your afternoon with a visit to the Wat Phnom, Phnom Penh's namesake, where you can enjoy views over the tree-lined avenues of Phnom Penh at sunset.

Transfer to Phnom Penh airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Visit Ta Prohm one of the most beautiful temples in the area and has been relatively untouched since it was discovered, retaining much of its mystery. Next the most famous of all temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Enjoy the sunset at Angkor Wat.

Today, early birds can enjoy sunrise from Phnom Bakheng or Angkor Wat. After breakfast, visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom, Bayon temple, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Before lunch enjoy a well deserved, relaxing one hour reflexology massage, followed by a visit to Preah Khan Temple,Neak Pean fountain, Ta Som, Mebon Oriental and the mountain temple of Pre Rup.
