Chandni Chowk Dehli

Traditional Indian Bazzar

As one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk is located close to the Red Fort and was built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Once divided by canals to reflect moonlight, this market is now a bustling shopping area that houses temples, shops and vibrant bazaars.

Wander the streets and spot historic mansions such as Bhagirath Palace and the Haveli of Mirza Ghalib, and visit Delhi's most famous mosque, Jama Masjid.

Shopping is a must: browse local foods, sweets, sarees and leather goods, and head to the Cloth Market to find home furnishing fabrics and beautiful cloths.
