The Best of Zimbabwe

Go off the beaten track in Zimbabwe

We love talking holidays and we're here to help. If you'd like our advice on how to create an amazing Zimbabwe holiday, just give our Destination Specialists a call.

Embark on a journey around Zimbabwe on our exciting 10 day escorted tour and visit the stunning reserves this often overlooked country has to offer. These may not be the most well-known but they are ones that we feel offer excellent game accommodation, a great contrast in scenery and provide you with one of the best safari experiences possible whether you are a first timer or a seasoned veteran of the plains. It then combines with the iconic and magnificent Victoria Falls.

The trip begins at Victoria Falls where you will stay at one of the best lodges, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, that borders the Zambezi National Park and enjoys uninterrupted views of unspoilt bushveld. Here you get the chance to experience your first wildlife sightings of the trip. You then travel to Hwange National Park where you can see herds of animals drinking from the flood lit waterhole and hopefully spot lion, elephant, cheetah and buffalo in their natural habitat. Next, it is a visit to the little known Matobo National Park where the San Bushman left inscriptions in caves and on rocks over 2,000 years ago. One of the best parts of this trip and unique to the area is the option to track rhino (additional cost), this is one of the few places in Africa that this can be done. Finally, head to Gonarezhou National Park and stay at the wonderful Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge which offers spectacular views of the area. This is the perfect place from which to explore the area on foot or in vehicles to see the mighty Chilojo Cliffs, interact with the local Shangaan Tribe and to see more wildlife.

The Best of Zimbabwe offers a chance to see some of the most well-known and popular areas of Zimbabwe combined with hidden gems.
