Zambezi River

The mighty Zambezi River is the fourth largest river in Africa, and is a place of beauty, adventure and considerable history.

A trip to the river provides a unique opportunity for game viewing, as well as many different water activites and sports.

Try a canoe safari on the stunning Upper Zambezi River and get to experience some small but exciting rapids. If you’re feeling energetic and adventurous, why not have a go at white water rafting? Or if fishing is your game, then the Zambezi, famous for the Tigerfish, is the place to be. You might also like to try some zip lining, the gorge swing, a canopy tour or a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls while you are in the area.

Enjoy lunch served on remote sandbanks where Africa’s hidden beauty and diversity of animals, birds, fish and reptiles are opened up to you. A more sedentary and highly recommended activity is a journey by riverboat. Take a sunset cruise to see crocodiles, hippos and birdlife. You might even be lucky enough to spot elephants too as they cross the river as you watch a beautiful African sunset.
