What an Experience

Just got back from our 12 night trip of Africa. Our final 3 nights were at the Victoria Falls River Lodge. I can't say enough about our stay. The accommodations, food and daily adventures were perfect. Each tented cabin faces the Zambezi River and is equipped with a private deck and Jacuzzi. In addition to the luxurious king sized bed, each space comes with couches, heat for the cool nights and AC for the warmer days. There is an indoor and outdoor shower in addition to the indoor bathtub with a view. We had regular visits to our cabin and main lodge from a multitude of different animals including elephants, mongoose, monkeys, and baboons. Casper was our assigned guide for both the game drives and our sunset cruise on the river. We saw lions, elephants, giraffe, hippos, impala, warthogs, Cape Buffalo and numerous others. Casper was awesome. Every afternoon around tea time we had elephants show up for drinks at the main lodge. Frances was our waiter most evenings in the dining room. He was great. Every detail of our visit was perfect and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Beautiful place - amazing service

Fantastic stay, we were thinking our trip would be focused on Victoria Falls and the game drives would be a letdown after S. Africa but we were delighted by the huge herds of herbivores (giraffes, elephants, zebra) . We really enjoyed the sunset boat cruises and saw a large number of interesting animals. Our driver Faithy was just wonderful, kind, accommodating, informative and really wanted us to have a great trip. The food was fantastic and all of the staff were excellent. My only con would be that the tents are COLD in the winter (but the beds were snugly with the lovely addition of a hot water bottle by the turn down staff) so shower before the sun sets or you might freeze! The family tent was great, our son had a nice little bed in his partition of the room (tent was generously sized, our King bed was luxurious and the
