Take a day to sight-see behind the scenes at the White House and Congress or learn about fascinating American history at the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. Washington also has many of the country’s top bars and restaurants particularly around the Dupont Circle area, perfect for laidback evenings after a day at the sights.
