Lovely hotel, helpful staff

Beverley, United Kingdom

We stayed for 3 nights in September. Our first impression of the hotel was its size. The foyer is stunning, and the bedroom was clean and well presented. Two king size beds, what I did like was the notice we could put on the bed each day to tell them not to change the sheets (we were only there for a short stay). We didnt eat at the hotel, and unfortunately the pool was closed for the season which was disappointing but the staff were extremely helpful dealing with all our needs efficiently. It is a little out of the way from the main attractions but taxis are relatively cheap.

Business/vacation stays

Cortlandt Manor, New York

Very nice hotel: staff attentive, perceptive and friendly. Very effective - but subtle - customer management. Rooms are large (older building, but in excellent condition), room windows open for fresh air (a particular interest of my wife), Robert's restaurant in gorgeous space, food excellent. Only critique (truly minor) logging in to wifi a bit complicated (do NOT add the wing orientation - East or West - to the room number).
