Great resort!

Atlanta, Georgia

We stayed here from 9/15-9/19. Great place to stay. Awesome pools and the staff is so friendly. Prime location in downtown Scottsdale makes it convenient to go to places near by without driving very far.

All This and a High School Art Exhibit Too

Tucson, Arizona

Had previously stayed at other places in Scottsdale and noticed this when it was the FireSky. First thing, check in noticed what appeared to be a starving artist or high school exhibit behind the desk. Clerk said it was the owners wife's portraits and we could "enjoy" them throughout the facility.. Sure enough everytime I stood at the toilet there was a picture of a woman staring back at me. I found it odd but am strangely motivated to go to one of their other facilities to see if she ever moved beyond portraits. I guess it is better to buy a hotel then add a wing on to the mansion to exhibit her art. The facilities are older but very well maintained. We stayed in a reconditioned wing and could see they were working on others. You want an inside facing room as both Scottsdale and Chapparal are very noisy but inside pool facing rooms are not. Pool area is beautiful but since it is kidney shaped it is mostly a stand around pool. Ate breakfast there and it was great- original stuff like plantain eggs Benedict. Many restaurants in area so did not have dinner here. Would I go back? Yes in off season when prices are down but otherwise would probably book at Embassy Suites across the streeet
