This place is designed to be your destination, not just a hotel.

Standard rooms are nice, nothing overly fancy or that stands out. Nice to have a shower and a bath tub. Shower has a nice rain shower head with a spray wand. Can be a little awkward to actually spray yourself off, but is nice still. The pool is where this place shines. There is a good size pool with a walk in spot for toddlers to play. There is a water slide and lazy river as well. The food you can order at the pool is awesome and the drinks are good, but a little pricey. There are events going on all through the day like a zoo presentation, tie dye shirts, or lazy river black jack. I did not try the surfing but it looks like fun. The one thing that is frustrating is the parking. $16 per day for self parking. It does not say anything about it on the website when you book, so my assumption was that it was included in the resort fee.

Cape Cod

Stayed for 6 nights on a business trip for a conference. Rooms were super comfortable, clean, spacious, large TV and even an outside deck with a table and chairs overlooking the lazy river. Staff was friendly and helpful with golf cart valet service to my room. Each morning I enjoyed a walk thru the well lit palm tree walkways into the convention center. Food at the conference was elegant. I totally enjoyed staying at the location and would recommend this destination to anyone visiting the area.
