Not as expected

London, United Kingdom

We are traveling across America for our honeymoon and so far it’s been amazing. On arrival at Monument Valley Inn we were checked in by a friendly chap who directed us to our room. We were asked if we wanted a first or ground floor but there were no stairs so we chose ground floor. We went o the room and we couldn’t get in, it seems there’s an issue with door keys. When we got in there were two small beds. As we hadn’t unpacked I went to reception and asked for one large bed, this time speaking to another member of staff. Being on a honeymoon and everything we aren’t quite at the stage for sleeping in separate beds. I was told the hotel was fully booked (even though I was offered first floor earlier. I mentioned the whole honeymoon thing and it seemed to go over His head. Checking our documentation, when it was booked it was even in the additional comments that we were on our honeymoon. When I got back to the room my wife was in the bathroom and wasn’t able to get out. I checked and sure enough it was only possible to get in, not out. I called reception and they sent someone over who said it needs a new handle and he’ll come and fix it tomorrow. All in all, not impressed at all. I gave them the chance to rectify the main problem and they failed hence the honest review while I’m still here.

Tired but clean

Sydney, Australia

Being part of a group of 40 it was a bit slow to check in but then the room was clean and tidy. The location is a bit out of the way but we were there only the night. Close to Monument Valley and Four Corners.
