Canyonlands National Park Holidays

Carved by currents and tributaries of the Green and Colorado Rivers, Utah’s Canyonlands National Park is a wilderness of deep canyons, dramatically formed buttes, towering mesas, pinnacles and cliffs stretching for more than 500 square miles.

Due to its huge size, the park is divided by rivers into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves. Take a hike through the Needles district to find Mesa Arch and take a picture with one of the West’s most photographed land forms.

Mountain bikers will love tackling the challenging dirt roads and there are many day hikes for all abilities, so you can witness the awe-inspiring views or hit the water; Canyonlands National Park offers some of the best whitewater rafting through Cataract Canyon.

Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks all have to be visited on one epic trip; pick up a car or motorhome from Salt Lake City or Las Vegas and in less than 3 hours you will have reached one of these stunning national parks.
