Bang for the buck in the French Quarter

New Castle, Delaware

Excellent value and the perfect location for visiting the French Quarter. You are right in the heart of all of the action, but removed enough to be able to get a good night's rest. High standards and staff that executes.

Water coming out from the roof

Houston, Texas

- we arrived at noon. They told us no rooms were available and they got our number to call us. They never called. I had to call at 3pm and they told me ohh yeah the room is ready. - one day it rained and water started coming out from the roof..leaking into the table and carpet. I am glad we were at the hotel. We reported the leak right away and they sent a person to take a look at it. They didn’t even offer a room change. I had to call myself and told them that we needed a new room because if the leak. They finally gave us as a replacement a way small room but with a balcony which we could not enjoy because of the rain. Also if you want to be able to slee make sure u don’t stay at a balcony room. Is right on the bourbon. - the cable didn’t work properly on the first room (4th floor). It kept saying signal lost. When i called they told me it was because of the rain but it was also happening when it was not raining. - the bathrooms at the lobby area were dirty. - the only plus side of the hotel is the location and the bedding. Very comfortable pillows. - finally when we move rooms, i forgot a pair of shoes in the room. The minute i realized i called the lobby. They told me that they had to call the housekeeper. They called me back 30 minutes later to tell me someone else was already in the room and they didn’t find any shoes. That tells me: 1) they didn’t fix the leak (it just stopped raining) and they put someone else in the room who might have the problem if it rains again. 2) someone has my shoes and kept them :( - lastly the bar downstairs plays the same CD with 5 songs all night long. We were there for 1 hour and we heard the same music over and over again. Drink prices are way overpriced. Between $15-20 per drink. The plud side is the bartender. He was very nice and friendly.
