Highs & Lows

Robinson, Pennsylvania

Recently stayed here for 6 nights, but there were a lot of positives and a lot of negatives. The rooftop pool is amazing. Great view of the river and city. Drinks are pricy at the bar. But service was great. Had a room with a balcony/king bed and this is where it went downhill. Obviously paid more for the balcony room, but the balcony was very dilapidated and overlooked the court house. We did get to view a parade, which we enjoyed. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom however was one of the worst. There was so much dust on the glass where the towels were placed and above our bed, it could not have been cleaned in months. The door to the bathroom is situated so tightly it was hard to get in and out. The shower curtain liner was basically a paper towel and soaked up all of the water and then dripped out of the tub, all over the floor. The biggest rip off was the refrigerator. Locked with a key, and one $7 bottle of water for the whole week. It was so hot we broke down and drank it one day, then it never got replaced after our room was cleaned. There were a few days where there was cucumber water in the lobby but why not every day? It was 90+ every day! The gift shop also sold overpriced water. I had to but some aleve, pepto and zantacs, which were one pill per packaging, $39 for 18 pills!!! The wifi is also tricky. In the lobby I had no problems, but if you are a premiere member, which I signed up for, you got "free" wifi. But every time I tried to connect while in the room it tried to charge me 9.99/day. It's 2019. How do you not have complimentary wifi?! The doors are also very loud and heavy so be prepared for people and housekeeping banging their doors all hours of the day and night, especially housekeeping since they knock on so many doors, open then shut them. Very disruptive. The positive remarks I can give are the location. 2 blocks from Bourbon, great shops and restaurants all around. It wasn't as noisy as I thought it would be. You can hear Bourbon around 8:00 every night but not that bad.

Wonderful French quarter gem!

The Omni is centrally located and easy walking distance to many restaurants, tours and attractions. The rooms are well appointed and staff is friendly and helpful. The concierge helped us locate and pick tours and restaurants and provided walking maps as needed. We will be back soon
