Fantastic in the French Quarter

Perth, United Kingdom

Jane and I chose the Hyatt Centric as our base in New Orleans on our 2018 tour of the the Deep South. We were looking for good quality accommodation within a comfortable walking distance of Bourbon Street and other attractions or transport to them. In no way were we disappointed. We arrived very late at night after two flights and checked in with ease and made very welcome. Our room on the third floor faced onto the inner courtyard as requested on the advice of previous TripAdvisor contributors to ensure a sound sleep. It was as quite as the cemetery number 1 we visited later in the week. The room was spacious, clean and even had two separate queen beds ensuring that yours truly had an even more enjoyable sleep. One of the most convenient aspects of this hotel is that it has three separate entrances giving easy access to many of the streets nearby. All the staff I encountered were friendly and knowledgeable and we booked a number of our excursions via the hotel concierge. These were high quality value for money tours and we received discount for booking more than one tour. All tours picked you up and dropped you off at the hotel or at a place of your choosing. I had booked two excursions back home prior to travel but recommend booking your tours at the Hyatt as they cannot be beaten for price or knowledge and tailor same to your needs. I have no negative comments to make re the Hyatt and would recommend it to my granny if she was still alive. If Jane and I recommend this hotel then you will have no worries or hesitation. Remember travel whilst you can, because one day it may only be walks in the local park, but then again that's not too bad a thing. Take care and signing out till Memphis.

Great French Quarter Hotel

Lafayette, Louisiana

This hotel is strategically located near the French Quarter. The People are nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and large. The French Quarter is noisy so any rooms near the quarter are noisy. The courtyard rooms are quieter if you don't want the excitement of being near the quarter activity
