On Bourbon Street in the Action, Friendly Staff

I took an Uber from the airport and it was $37 for a 21 minute ride. The hotel is on Bourbon Street right in the middle of the action. Check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly throughout my stay. ROOM (#301) I was upgraded due to my Platinum status. My room faced Bourbon Street. The room was smaller but it’s a very old building and honestly most people don’t stay here for the room. It can obviously be loud because of the location and they offer ear plugs in the room to help. The room had a king bed and two night stands, desk and chair, TV, clock, dresser bin drawers, sofa chair, closet with hangers, iron and board, a safe for valuables, a thermostat, and 3 outlets available for electronics. There was a door that led to a balcony (shared with other hotel guests on the side of the hotel) with some tables and chairs overlooking Bourbon Street. BATHROOM The bathroom was clean. There was a toilet, shower/bathtub combination, sink woh countertop space, a hairdryer, and 4 more outlets for electronics. BAR I ate diner at the bar one evening. The food was actually very good and well priced. I had a crispy chicken sandwich and French fries for $11. RESTAURANT (BREAKFAST) I had breakfast in the restaurant because they gave me a coupon for a breakfast (valued at $14 I think). You could get something more expensive and pay the difference. I had the included breakfast which offered toast, 2 eggs, potatoes or grits, sausage or bacon, and a drink. The food was good. GYM The gym was small, but again I don’t figure most people are staying here to workout. They had 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 stationary bicycle, dumbbells 5-50 pounds, a bench, and exercise balls. OVERALL Overall, if you are looking for a hotel in the heart of the craziness of Bourbon Street, this is a good choice. You can’t beat the location. The room was comfortable. The restaurant and bar food was well priced and tasty. The gym was small but okay. I would stay here again.

Bourbon St. Location but Amazingly Quiet

Wantagh, New York

...Granted we stayed here in October. This hotel is right on bourbon st so it is walking distance to most tourist sights and lots of restaurants and bars near by. Bourbon st was under construction while we were there but there was never as noise from the work in our room. We were four friends split in two rooms right next door; unfortunately the first night the air conditioning was not working properly in our room but we did not notice until we went next door the next morning. We immediately told them at the front desk and they said they would take care of it. When we got back that night it still did not feel like it was fix so we called down to the front desk again; within 5-10 mins a maintenance worker came up and in another 10 mins or so he had it fixed. Other than that the rooms were clean, good water pressure in the shower, and the beds were comfortable. On the last day, we found a pair of mens underwear the the closet... not sure where it came from as we hadn't opened the closet until we were leaving. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
