Where do I begin?

Saint Charles, Illinois

So we stayed here for a trade show. When I arrived for check-in, the people behind the counter had no idea what they were doing. I am a platinum elite member and usually get upgraded for free. I never ask for this but it's a nice bonus. However, on this trip, since was going to be at the hotel for 8 days, I thought I would ask. I called a week before and gave them my information. They were not able to get their system working and said they would note my account and upgrade when I arrived. When I arrived they had no note or my ihg account on the room. I asked again for the upgrade and they told me all that was available was a deluxe room. I took it as I was tired and just wanted to go up. I had co workers with me that had general rooms. My room was exactly like theirs. This was definitely not a deluxe room. The room was musty and the air conditioning only worked when it saw movement. Which means in the middle of the night if you aren't a sleep walker, it will turn off and the room gets hot. There was no soaps save for a dispenser in the shower that the pumps did not work on. The towels were not replaced and when they were they only gave one. Then the toilet started leaking on the floor. I requested a repair and the tech came and cleaned up the water with the room towels and didn't replace them! When I called the front desk to get replacements, it took 2 calls and an hour and a half to get them. The pool is tiny and is basically a bar of chlorine. I have never had my eyes burn so bad. Our room smelled like chlorine for the rest of the trip after one visit to the pool. Not a great experience overall and would not stay again. The only plus is it is directly next to Bourbon Street. But that's a whole different story...

Good Stay

Stayed at this hotel during my stay in New Orleans. It was a very good stay. The location is perfect, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Check in was a problem in the beginning, but that got sorted out. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to be close to Bourbon Street.
