Best location

Barrie, Canada

I had been to the Crowne in New Orleans before and when it came time to choose a hotel for March break I did not hesitate. The location is perfect, Bourbon Street is at the corner. There are a couple places to eat or buy beers for the room close by. The St. Charles street car is across the street. As for the hotel we have a double queen room facing Bourbon Street on the 8th floor. It was clean and everything worked as expected. The beds were comfortable. Only comment was the hot water was too hot, I can’t believe I am writing that! A nice feature is there is a balcony on the 2nd floor that over looks Bourbon Street. I imagine during Marti gras it is packed shoulder to shoulder! One feature I have to comment is the Concierge desk, we were in the good hands of Isabelle. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. A pleasure to meet! Sadly we traveled during the Covid 19 virus pandemic and had to cut our trip short. The hotel was quick to give us a refund on the days we did not stay. Very stress free discussion with the front desk. Over all great service. Would I go beak, yes next trip for sure!

Worst mattress ever!

Birmingham, Alabama, United States

I just want to say that this is by far the lousiest, cheapest mattress I have had the displeasure of sleeping on and I was in the USMC and have slept in far worse locations than New Orleans. Do not stay here unless you are just looking for a place to drunkenly crash and don’t care a thing about comfort. The hotel seems clean and the staff was nice but holy hell the bed is terrible. Be ready to send them your physical therapy bill if you stay here.
