Great Stay

Muncie, Indiana

We stayed here a few nights for a convention. Everything was very clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. (I didn't realize we didn't have a microwave in our room & my son wanted to make popcorn. They sent one right up!) This hotel is close to a lot of restaurants and little shops and small areas of interest to see. There are also a lot of shaded areas to sit outside and just relax for a bit. The only kind of annoying thing was that you had to use your room key every time you got on the elevator, but I completely understand that it is for security reasons. I would definitely stay here again!

The pool

If you want to go swimming, the pool is not well maintained. I have 2 boys who absolutely love swimming in the pool and we’re so disappointed when they could not go in. They have sign that says open at 6 am and that is not true. While their daddy was at a convention, I figured they could go swimming. So at 8:00 am we saw the pool was closed, no problem. We went and did some reading in the room. Well then at 9:00, we saw that the pool was still closed, and the the person in the fitness area said it should open in an hour. So we went back to the room. Well at 1000 it was still closed , so I went to their front desk to ask and they said it should open in an hour. Well at that point we were planning on meeting someone for lunch.? If you you could see the disappointment on their faces when they couldn’t go. So we were gone from 10:30 to 4:00 and when we came back the pool was open and crowded. So I told the boys we would go the next day, well let’s just say the next day we got the same run around. This time I was told the ph level was off and at 1130 am I was told it would be another 2 and half hours till the pool would be open and that’s if the pool would be ready. The disappointment and tears in their eyes was what a mom never wants to see. I cannot believe you advertise that a pool is open from 600 am to 10 pm and you have to wait till the morning to treat it. If you have young kids I would not stay here, because the pool is always closed.
