Only one night

San Francisco, California

From my quick stay I will say that I was impressed by the room size and plush carpeting. The bathroom was very nice though the brand of amenities was just OK. The bed was comfortable and I wanted to order breakfast but the door hanger had already been filled out by a previous patron. In the mornings I never want to call down to order food. Regardless of where I’m staying. I would certainly return as the location seemed very prime and the rates were comparable with lesser brands like Westin and JW.

A very calming property

Washington DC, District of Columbia

I reckon it's the layout of the 'lobby'; its an intimate space that engenders a calmness, rather than the large, airy lobbies one usually sees in chain hotels. The elevator moves at a leisurely pace. The room was palatial. Spent a week at the property and always felt like *phew* every time I got home from work. Amenities were nice, slippers fluffy, bed comfy. All the normal boxes checked. Only 4 stars because the restaurant left something to be desired. It's fine, but the bartenders didn't offer suggestions, the menu didn't seem like it was anything special. There's a great oyster bar next door; go there.
