Im not into art, but this was cool

Waxahachie, Texas

Stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed it. The views were great and the rooms set up really cool. There is a little café and the food was excellent and then its a bar at night. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.

Artsy hotel, inconvenient location

Fayetteville, Arkansas

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Lorenzo Hotel. We were visiting for a concert in Deep Ellum, so we were looking to stay downtown. Pros: The Lorenzo is every bit as artsy and po-mo as it looks on line. They put a lot of work into little details to make this property a feast for the eyes. The rate is quite affordable, rooms were spacious and kept clean. In-room coffee provided with one bottle of water. Good happy hour deals in the lobby from 4-6. Cons: The biggest let down was the location - it is not convenient to anything and there is nothing within walking distance. Even if there were, this is a sketchy area and you don't want to walk around after dark. They've tried to accommodate for this with the detached grab-n-go breakfast available (which was quite good). We visited the pool one afternoon, but the bar was not open as advertised. We stayed on the 5th floor with a "downtown view", while the view is nice this is right next to the interstate - so it is quite loud at night.
