Mediocre

Northern Califonia

The hotel does have a good location--close to Market Street and a short walk to the great historical sites and many restaurants. The rooms are mostly clean, well-enough appointed, but dark and in need of a makeover (even though the rom was said to have been recently renovated, which I think means they put some paint on the walls, but the furniture was dated and the toilet base leaked.) If not for the friendliness of the desk staff and the bell captain, this would have been two stars. It needs upgrading. By the way, the restaurant is not very good--it is best to eat elsewhere.

Close to historic attractions

Very conveniently located in the heart of the historic district. Choose to shopping and restaurants. Also near the Market line of the subway, making it an easy home base for any trip to Philly. There is a restaurant on site which we only used for breakfast. It was standard buffet food and not that great although the dining staff was wonderful, especially Madhu. The room was clean and spacious and the neighborhood was clean and safe.
