Art-Deco elegance, inner city location

The Kimpton Palomar Philadelphia is a luxury period hotel situated in the city centre of Philadelphia. Like any Kimpton hotel, this one tells a story and that story is ‘Art in Motion’ – something that is immediately apparent upon arrival. The hotel is set in one of the most striking Art Deco buildings in the city and features a beautiful interior that blends period design with contemporary styling. After its $92 million renovation project in recent years, the hotel has gained ‘green’ status for its contribution to environmental design. There are plenty of refined facilities too including the Square 1682 Restaurant, a modern fitness centre and a hosted evening wine hour in the hotel’s charming living room.

  • Impressive period building dating from 1929
  • Work out at the 24-hour fitness centre
  • Walk to top attractions including Rittenhouse Square
  • Enjoy contemporary American cuisine at the Square 1682 Restaurant

Nice Place. Great History!

Very nice place. Staff is great. Don't forget to check out the "Historic" 2nd floor. Extremely beautiful mosaics. There is a restaurant, located on the 1st floor. It is nice, but please do not be in a hurry, the staff really takes their time...really takes their time. Good beer, good view, food okay. Beautiful old church just next door. Close to many other restaurants, etc.,

Great weekend at Palomar

North Wales, Pennsylvania

We stayed at the Palomar the weekend of Oct. 13 to attend a wedding in the city. The property was very nice, and the staff was excellent. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a nice view. A special acknowledgement of OJ Thomas the bellman/doorman - he took care of us on the way in and the way out, and was helpful for information several times as well. A truly exemplary employee who obviously enjoys his job - he did everything possible to make us happy during our stay.Thank you OJ! The hotel is pet friendly and we had my son's dog with us, and the staff went out of it's way to be welcoming to even the dog! All in all, a great hotel - highly recommended. Just one minor issue - One thing the hotel could use is some additional space in front to load and unload; hotel is located on a busy, high traffic street (17th Street)and during busy periods it can be tough to find a space to pull up and unload. To their credit, the efficient valet parking and staff do try to help keep things moving as much as possible.
