Wonderful stay

Washington

There was actually a live plant in my room, and combined with the large entrance room, this made it feel more like an apartment and less like a hotel room. The bathtub alone was worth the stay! Also, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

One of the best....

Birmingham, United Kingdom

In short, this must be one of the best hotel rooms we have EVER stayed in! We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst visiting Seattle, and we did not want to leave. The hotel, as its name says, is very grand from the moment you arrive in the large covered valet area and enter the massive, grand, and luxurious lobby. Check in was very friendly, helpful and we were directed to our room. The hotel hallways, elevators and overall feel of this hotel is very luxurious. Upon entering the room, we were astounded at the size and elegance. Upon entering through the large heavy wooden door, you enter into a tiled hallway, with elegant lighting and proceed to the large bedroom area with king size bed, large TV and a stunning view from the windows over Downtown Seattle. The entire room is beautifully decorated with fresh plants, beautiful wooden features, and decorative pictures. There is a small wardrobe behind some wooden doors, containing a safe also. The room is packaged with amenities, mini bar, comfortable chair, desk and the window shades and curtains are controlled by a button next to the bed. One of the most spectacular features of this room is the bathroom, which is simply HUGE. The room is fully marbled with large mirrors, dimmable lights, a massive double glass shower and a full-size bath with waterfall style tap. The bathroom is kitted out with nicely folded towels, luxurious feeling robes and plenty of extra bathroom amenities you may need, there is also an extensive list of items you can ring the front desk for if you have forgotten to pack. This hotel is right up there with one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in from around the world. The bathroom is quite possibly the nicest bathroom, in any hotel we have ever stayed in, and the overall feel of the hotel and the guest rooms 100% lives up to the GRAND name attached to this hotel. If we could say only one thing that this hotel is missing, is sadly a swimming pool! The hotel lobby is always very busy, with multiple large conferences taking place daily. There is also an onsite Starbucks and a Starbucks coffee machine in the guest room, fantastic touch! Housekeeping at this hotel were superb, ensuring the room was spotless every day, and even tidying our clothes and bathroom items. This definitely added a 5* service to a hotel, where the room was certainly a 5*. The hotel could not be better situated, right in the heart of downtown Seattle, with an onsite (but expensive!) Steakhouse, but fully surrounded by a multitude of shops, fast food, restaurants and everything you need within a very short walking distance. We absolutely, cannot recommend this hotel enough!! If we are ever back in Seattle, we will always check whether we can stay at this hotel again.
