Birthday celebration

Portland, Oregon

The resort is in a great location and is lovely in the area and amenities and availability of services. I visited the resort in October of 2018 for a conference and again this spring for a friends gathering. The condo we rented was perfect, clean and well equipped. The food and drink options are more than satisfactory. It's a short and beautiful drive to Mr. Bachelor and not far from Bend if you need more urban experiences. I will definitely visit the resort again.

Very disappointed

We stayed in a River Lodge room. The condition and up keep of these rooms were very disappointing. We stayed here a few years ago and had a great time but now this time around it was less then enjoyable. We were only spending one night and intended to spend most of the time in the room to relax. Right when we checked into our room, the guests above us were running back and fourth so we listened to very loud stomping for over an hour. Then our AC stopped working and the room got up to 70 degrees. It took 20 mins for someone to come look at it and it turned out that our AC was malfunctioning so they told us we could wait for a tech to come out or we could request to move. We requested to move thinking we would be upgraded due to the inconvenience but we were moved to an upstairs room in the same unit. When we got to that room it was more run down and outdated then our first room and was 75 degrees when we moved into it. It took over an hour to cool down to 70 degrees and even though we were upstairs the guests on either side of us were even louder then the other room. We didnt remember the walls being so thin the last time we stayed. The bed was also indented, old, and uncomfortable. We were more exhausted leaving the resort then when we got there and were very disappointed. This was supposed to be a relaxing baby moon before we become first time parents but ended up just being exhausting. I'd recommend not staying in a river lodge room if you want to relax and enjoy the room. If you plan on being away for most of the day and only intend on using it to sleep then this is the pick for you.
