Not worth the money

When the lift music is the best asset of a hotel your sure now it's not good. Brilliantly located within NYC and a nice and modern lobby... but all the good stopped at check in. I get it, doing 300 check ins a day get somehow repetitive, but a smile would have been appreciated. Especially after the lady tried to take card details for the third time of a card that already was on file. Rooms are small, but I'm sure reasonable for NY standards. However furniture is outdated, chipped and broken. The room has missed its last spring cleaning, evidenced by the mold on the shower. Also very noisy air conditioning. On the plus size the bed was comfortable. There is potential, but it lacks detail and I feel that the staff already has given up on it, shown by the daylight saving time notice still hanging at the lift on the 8th floor... two weeks after. All in all not worth the money. But hey at least we still have our funky lift music.
