Great hotel on Central Park

New York City, New York

I stayed here for work and it was great! The staff was friendly and customer service focused. They were quick to reconcile any concerns. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were huge in the king room. They have free coffee in the lobby restaurant every morning which is a nice touch.

Labor Day weekend

Unfortunately this was a bad experience. My friend booked a suit for Labor Day weekend. We had the room on 3rd floor. Very nice room, clean and spacious. The hotel was busy with many VIP guests from the US open. The guests next to us liked to start the party in their room at 3 AM, my friend called the front desk, and they send the security, but that didn’t stop them even on second night. So two nights with no sleep. The second night when he called again the lady said there’s nothing they can do. We order pizza and came cold, but too we were too tired to send it back. On the third night, when the party started again, my friend called angry and asked for a different room. So instead to sleep at midnight we had to pack and moved on 18th floor and it was worth it 6 good hours sleep before our flight. The staff people were amazing. We were looking for ice, this housekeeper blond lady with European accent was friendly, always with a smile. She told us the machine is broken, but she will get us some. We told her there’s no need we will go downstairs and get ourselves. She came back right the way with a bag full of ice and making sure we have everything we need. The back of the house are well trained for customers service. For the amount of the money he paid, we could definitely stay in better hotel.
