Westin Times Square is the best place to be in NYC!!!

Frisco, Texas

We just finished a wonderful Columbus day weekend in NYC!! We had the most amazing time in large part to our hotel! I am an elite member of Marriott. I travel a great deal and always want to feel comfortable and at home especially when I travel with my wife and son. I have always found that the Westin brand has always treated me the best! The Westin Times Square exceeded my expectation. First, we arrived Friday at 1am. We were exhausted from the flight. Once we were there I was greeted by Edward. Like every Westin, I was greeted with a smile. After talking to Edward for a few minutes I asked to see if they had any upgrades due to my status. He was very apologetic and said they were sold out due to a conference. Even though he said he had nothing, he continued to look and said that they could get me a suite the next day. I was very happy to hear that. I have to say it really pays off to be loyal to Marriott. Out of all the Marriott chains I love the Westin the most. In my opinion they treat their elite members the best! So we woke up and went sight seeing. I got a call later that evening from Mandy and was told that they sent someone to our room to get our luggage to move it to our new room. We told them that we were on our way back. We got back to the hotel and was greeted by somebody at the elite desk and I apologize for not knowing his name. In short I was well taken care. We got our key and headed up to our room. We ended up with room 4402. All I can say is the Westin group never disappoints me. We ended up with the most beautiful suite. It was beautiful and spacious. The view was gorgeous! As an elite member it is always a fantastic treat to be rewarded for your loyalty. This is a testament to the senior level management and their philosophies! The location of the hotel was the best! We were in the middle of Times Square without having to deal with the craziness. We were right across the subway and near all the restaurants. The perfect location. A short 5 minute walk right into Times Square. In the mid day, they offer snacks to everyone. This was such a great treat. As far as the restaurants we did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on that. All in all if you want a hotel that is right in Times Square without being in the craziness the Westin is the perfect place. The service is second to none! I cannot say enough about them and making my son's first trip to NYC the best ever!!! Thank you NYC Westin!!!

Rude Receptionist

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

After a long drive, I needed to use the restroom badly so I gave my car to the valet and was in line to check in on the 2nd floor. I tried to use the restroom but it was locked and required key card access. Hence, I asked the receptionist Casey if he could help. Casey was extremely rude and said he was helping another guest. Didn’t expect great customer service in NYC but this was unnecessary for a guest of the hotel trying to check in and in dire need to use a restroom. A gentleman server at the restaurant was very nice and gave me a card to use. The next day I reported this to the front desk Manager, Alihan who was very nice, apologetic and compensated me with some points. The hotel itself is OK, dated and small rooms. Casey is a horrible receptionist who treats guests extremely poorly!
