Christmas Light Bucket List

Gonzales, Louisiana

Since this was a Bucket List trip, I decided to spend a little more on a hotel and stay in one that I had heard a lot about and was one of the more historic in NYC. Arriving at the hotel it didn't disappoint the Doorman in his Top Hat & Coat was just as you would imagine, he was extremely nice and had our bags out of the car almost before we got out. My exhilaration ended there. The Desk Clerk at check in was border line rude. Very curt when asked a question and almost made you want to apologize for checking in. The Clerk checking out wasn't much better. The elevators are extremely small and can leave you waiting for as much as 20 minutes to catch from your room. A couple of times I considered taking the stairs even though I was on the 16th floor. I booked a Suite which was okay but I have had better in NYC, for less. The bathroom by New York standards is smaller than most, and if you've been to New York at all you know the bathrooms are small. If you want any kind of view make sure you book an Ave of the Americas suite, we looked at brick walls all around. Besides the Doorman upon arrival the only other bright point of the hotel was the Housekeeping staff, they were very friendly and accommodating. I will say the location of the hotel was good in proximity to what we wanted to do. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed.

Great location, great hotel, slightly pricey

Lima, Peru

I've been a repeat guest at this hotel on business trips due to the great location, top condition of rooms and furnishings and excellent service. Unfortunately price has also been increasing. Havn't had breakfast so I can´t comment on this part of the service. The gym is also comfortable, well equipped and in good condition.
