Nice, Classic, Quality Hotel

New York City, New York

We stayed here overnight in order to spend an evening in the city. We had stayed a number of years ago at The Warwick and remembered it as being a very nice, comfortable, classic-style hotel, low-key and warm. It was that again. We had a two-room suite which was large and comfortable with a great view of 6th Avenue. Both rooms had nice size televisions -- if one of us wanted to watch TV while the other person slept or wanted to watch something different. There was a very comfortable and sturdy king-size bed. (I believe that a room with 2 queen-size beds is also available). We both slept deeply and warmly. In each of the rooms of the suite there was a thermostat that we could set to our own comfort level. There was a nice round table in the living room which we used for dining when we had a quickie breakfast brought in from outside the hotel. They also offer (which i didn't know until we had already eaten our small breakfast) a rather nice breakfast buffet down off the main lobby. But we had gone out for dinner the night before and did not want to fill up again the following morning. Our bathroom was very clean with washcloths and ample towels (face and bath towels) and there were also some nice creams/lotions/shampoo on the counter. Really a very nice, good quality room. The welcoming staff at the counter were very pleasant and eager to please. We chose to park our car overnight and we had 24 hours from the time of admittance to take the car out. There are no in-and-out privileges, but for $50, it was comforting to leave the car in front of the hotel, know that the staff would drive it and park it, and then would retrieve it for us the next day and bring it right to the door of the hotel. All in all, a very nice, moderately-priced,classy hotel in a good location to be in the center of the City.

Great boutique hotel

We choose to stay in this hotel instead of the very large Hilton across the street that was the official conference hotel. It is much more quaint and personable than the monstrosity of the Hilton. The staff are very friendly. It was easy to get an elevator and it was so quick up to your room. We did pay extra for a view and were given a "corner room". While the room was ok, it did chop off some square footage and our bathroom was VERY small. Officially it was a view but it was obstructed. The breakfast was good but expensive ( $80 for two with tax). If you can, try to get a rate with this breakfast included. Still had a great experience overall and would stay here again. I would just request to not be in the corner again.
