Views for days!

San Francisco, California

My boyfriend and fur baby stayed here for 3 nights right before Labor Day weekend and our stay exceeded all our expectations! I don't know why so many others are giving such harsh reviews because that was not our experience whatsoever. The first thing to note is so many people are complaining about the noise from the club. If you are a smart traveler and do your research before spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on a hotel then you would have read about the noise (which is out of the hotels control) and find another hotel that suits your needs! Also for those who complained about the location of this hotel you would know that it is about a 15 min to 20 min walk to the subway (from other reviews and gooogle maps) so please stop complaining when you have the choice to book where you want yo stay! We booked this location knowing it was right on the river, away from all the craziness and perfect for Intrepid/Chelsea Piers boating activities and a 15 min taxi ride from the World Trade Observatory. Every employee who we encountered were so kind, friendly and attentive to all our needs. Maybe all these people who give such awful reviews walk around with frowns on their faces all day and who wants to be nice to Scrooge? Thanks for the iced coffee every morning, free wine at 5, letting my dog stay for free, spacious rooms (compared to most NY hotels), spectacular views, comfortable bed, refreshing bath amenities and most importantly the staff who made our stay so hospitable! Sumo misses everyone at Ink48!

Sad to have spent our anniversary here...

New York City, New York

We booked our stay to celebrate our anniversary with our baby. Here's my feedback: 1) Receptionist were lovely. He allowed us to check in earlier, and was super friendly with our baby. However, that evening the receptionist seem to have changed and were not as friendly - maybe in the evening, you need to give off the moody vibe lol 2) I fully respect that we are given rooms that are available, but I called two weeks ahead of time to book a room thats not near the club noise. Our little baby kept waking up. I'm really disappointed that the receptionist did not think of this when checking us in seeing as it is an ongoing problem. 3) The lobby is always full of people who do not actually stay at the hotel. Waiting to get up to the rooftop was frustrating, and trying to get through the crowds of people was hard, especially trying to get through a throng of young merry people with a stroller. 4) Loved PRINT. The food was yummy and the service was great. 5) HATED ROOM SERVICE. We spent $150 for room service as there were 3 of us. I'm not cheap, and was willing to spend that much as we were celebrating. But the food was terrible. It was salty, the chips were burnt and my bread came up soggy. They also did not give any water (which nearly all hotels do). And please do not get me started on our 'cheese plate'. It's embarrassing that they felt this was worthy to be served to people who had pay over $400 on a room and then a further $150 on dinner. Its places like this that make you feel angry - charging people a lot of money for terrible food. 6) There are NO kid friendly channels. Or any good channels for that matter. 7) We got disturbed twice by the maids. Once was at 11.30am (half an hour before check out) whilst I was in the shower. Please, just leave us alone unless we need something. The other time the doorbell woke our baby up. We DID put up the do not disturb. 8) Bring you own body wash - this brand of wash takes away any bit of moisture may have! 9) Appreciate the anniversary gift that was given to us - that was a nice touch. We had such high hopes here, and we are so sad that we spent a milestone at this hotel. I wish we could go back in time and pick somewhere else...
