Great Stay!

The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina is a great hotel. The location is perfect. It is right on the water and walking distance to many restaurants. The room was very comfortable and clean and the bed and pillows terrific. We took the breakfast package and the food was very good. It was a nice buffet. When my husband and I return we will definitely stay here again. Special thanks to Jogie at the front desk for working so hard to get us into a room quickly since we had arrived earlier then the arrival time.

Best location and great service

New York City, New York

My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights. The best part of this hotel is the location, as many reviewers commented. Providence-Newport ferry dock and Newport Harbor Sightseeing Cruise dock are virtually right next to the hotel. My wife has mobility issue and transportation is always a concern, so this location was excellent. We rented a wheelchair from the hotel and we took it to 3 mansions (The Breakers, Marble House and The Elms). All worked well. We booked 2 weeks before our planned vacation so the price was very high but it was worth it. Harbor view might have been lovely but we chose city view and it was still nice, overlooking several churches right in front of us and seeing people walking. Almost everything (booking, checking restaurants, and deciding what to do) was done through Tripadvisor (TA). We booked the hotel through booking.com which was directed from TA and booked all tours (Newport Harbor Sightseeing Cruise and Newport Viking Trolley Tour with Marble House and Breakers) from TA. Both tours are highly recommended. As of transportations, Uber worked well. Waiting time was short. Breakfast buffet was good, though they are not free. They offered buy one get one free coupons when we arrived. The buffet room and outdoor dining area are separate and you need to transport the plates in between and there is a stairs and 10 meter ramp. It's not convenient, especially for people with mobility issues. Our waiters were kind enough to let us sit at one of the tables in the buffet room in all 3 mornings we had breakfast. We had nice chat with the waiter when he was not busy. We went to Brick Alley Pub (twice), The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar and Newport Tokyo House for dinner. Newport TOKYO House is run by Chinese. The surrounding area didn't seem too safe (just my opinion). The comedy theater next to it had no performance when we were there (too bad). Though we took Uber to all 3 places, these are in easy walking distance from the hotel. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this hotel and I highly recommend it.
