Weekend stay

Kansas City, Missouri

We stayed at Sebasco for a wedding the first weekend of October. From what we could tell they were only going to be open one more weekend before closing for the winter. The staff were all very friendly and the service was good. We stayed on the third floor of the building behind the office. It's a long way up to drag your bags, but the view was amazing. The deck was outfitted with chairs and a table and we sat out there a lot. The resort is fairly run down in many ways aesthetically. It could use some repair, paint, etc. and maybe that's what the off season is for. The little general store closes very early in the evening so if you don't get what you need before 6pm from the town of Bath you're pretty much out of luck. It's very secluded which is what makes it additionally charming, you just need to know that. We hiked the trail directly across from the entrance and it was incredible. When you get to the top the views are amazing. It was a sunny, clear day and you could see forever. The room was very spacious and we had everything we needed. The wedding was done very well and the bride said the resort was very accommodating to them. The meal with the wedding was exceptional. The pool was in great disrepair, but I'm hoping that was a seasonal issue and would be back in good service by spring. We'd love to return during high season and maximize all the resort has to offer.

Gorgeous setting

Denver, Colorado

I stayed here for a retreat. The setting is beautiful. The staff was professional and did a great job setting up meeting rooms and meals. Food was good, varied, and abundant, and all sorts of dietary restrictions/needs were addressed with a minimum of fuss. The front desk and gift shop staff were friendly and helpful. Per a staff recommendation, I had the lobster mac & cheese at the Pub one evening. It was the best mac & cheese I've ever had! I stayed in one of the family cabins, in a twin room, and it was clean and reasonably spacious. Next year I'm staying in the main lodge; the twin beds in my room, while fine for kids, were not as comfortable for a middle-aged person.
