There are 60 islands to explore in the British Virgin Islands, or BVI for short. Starting with the main island of Tortola, the hub of the BVI where you will find bars restaurants and a buzz of activity. Leave the mountainous cliffs and chalk white beaches behind you and set sail to Jost Van Dyke, named after a Dutch former pirate offers succulent Caribbean food and drink and one of the best New Year's Eve parties. On Virgin Gorda, be sure to see The Baths, gigantic granite boulders and grottos line the picturesque shores and beg to be explored. If you are looking true escapism head to the north shore of Prickly Pear Island off the coast of coast or Virgin Gorda.
